Create personal shows with a transformational process of devising and embodiment. Make them raw and vulnerable, unhinged comedy, transcendent drama, performance art with poetic text and physicality, interdisciplinary with media and music, or sacred ritual acts.

We’ll use Chris Bayes physical theater clown impulse work and other devising methods to access truths in the body hidden by social masks.

We’ll structure that material with established narrative forms or discover your own. Mash or blow them up.

We’ll embody the work using physical acting methods from rigorous lineages such as Lecoq.

The Chris Bayes clown pedagogy we’ll use has pagan and Orpheus mythic underpinnings I’ve experienced repeatedly over the years in his communities where I’m both a student and teacher in training.

I’ll be your charon ferryman and form crossing mercury like guide through the Orphic mysteries of impulse based devising:

– Katabasis: symbolic Persephone and Orpheus descent into the Underworld to access truths in our bodies and its impulses hidden by social masks.

– Sparagamos: Dionysian dis-armoring and disorganization of social masks.

For the spiritually inclined interested in making ritualistic performance, I’ll support you with my own seeker background.
